Additional Comments:: Proactive, precautionary steps should be taken to detect the arrival of Bsal in Mexico through the swabbing of both wild and imported salamanders, in addition to a total ban on the importation of non-native salamanders (Mexico Red List Assessment Workshop 2019).

Rovito pers. comm. 2019).

Yes / probably The population is believed to be severely fragmented as it occurs in three locations separated by lower elevation arid habitat, but appears to be stable at present as no declines have been detected (S. Rovito pers. comm. 2019). During surveys conducted in 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018 the species was been found in moderate numbers and it is considered relatively common at the type locality (S. Rovito pers. comm. 2014, 2019).
