  National Recommended Conservation Actions

The National Recommended Conservation Actions report displays a list of all species within a selected country, that have been recommended for one or more recommended conservation actions according to the assessments for those species. The default order of the species in the report is by priority for conservation action, with the highest priority species at the top of the report.

If multiple assessments for the same species in the same country exist, they are “consolidated” into a single assessment, so that each species appears only once in this report.

Select a country from the Country dropdown to display species that have been assessed for that country, and the recommended conservation actions for those species. Note that the Country dropdown includes only the countries that have at least one completed and approved assessment.

The default report will include species recommended for all conservation actions, but alternatively, a single conservation action can be selected from the Conservation Actions dropdown to filter the list.

The report displays Species name, country and recommended conservation action(s). For each conservation action, the number of assessments for the species in the selected country is shown (e.g. n=4), along with the percentage of those assessments that recommended each of the conservation actions (e.g. 75%). If 100% is shown, all assessments for the species in the selected country resulted in recommendations for the particular conservation action. If less than 100% is shown, this indicates that there are differences of opinion between the assessors of the species in the selected country, and the figure represents the percentage of assessments that recommended each of the conservation actions.

Click on the hyperlinked species names to see the details of either a single assessment (if only one assessment for this species/country combination exists) or a consolidated assessment (if more than one assessment for this species/country combination exist) for the selected species:

The default order of the species in the report is by priority for conservation action, but this can be changed to display the species in taxonomic order by clicking the Taxonomic option in the Sort by control, and then clicking the Search button again.

If the report contains more than 25 lines, a list of page numbers will be displayed at the bottom of the report. Click any of the page numbers to view the corresponding report page.

Click the Print button to print a copy of the report, or press the Export to Excel button to generate a version of the report that can be opened with Microsoft Excel or compatible programs.
